If you’re interested in helping your local community, volunteering, fund-raising, organising projects, using your talents, gaining new skills, making friends and having fun – you can do all of this and more as a Lions club member. We have 900 Lions Clubs throughout the British Isles & Ireland and we welcome applications to join our existing 17,000 existing members.
Lions Clubs International is family friendly. Our Leos Clubs offer opportunities for young people to get involved in their local communities. We also have a number of youth projects which are designed to help young people make new friends as well as supporting their personal development.
Lions membership is open to men and women who are passionate about performing local volunteer work to improve their community – and communities around the world. If you are interested in finding out more about membership, the first step is to make contact with your local Lions Club within the British Isles and Ireland. Click on the Join Us link where we explain more about membership and provide a form which you should complete to be put in touch with your local Lions Club.
In addition, we welcome anyone who would like to get involved with Lions Clubs' projects and activities but is not able to make an initial commitment to membership. For example, you can offer your talents to help organise local initiatives, donate to our various campaigns, attend events or simply pass on the word about the great work and good deeds that you see Lions members undertake in your local community.
Organisations or individuals who would like to get involved with Lions Clubs for fund-raising, joint projects, or to request other help should get in touch with our headquarters office:
